DEVELOPMENT AWARDS 2019
March 1st, 2019.

They will compete to bring home an award from Game Connection America, set to take place in San Francisco.
The Argentinian gaming scene keeps on surprising with great news. Firstly, ‘Ethereal’ was
nominated back in January for Excellence in Audio at the Independent Games Festival 2019,
the most important awards given at the Game Developers Conference and one of the the most
relevant within the independent gaming world.
Now that it’s time to find out the nominees for the rest of the event, three more Argentinian
games are honoured to be among the chosen ones:
- ‘Maquette’ (MeNic Games), a construction and management simulation game, is nominated
for Best Casual Game. Fernando Córdoba, who has already won this award with ‘Balancity’ in
2017, will be aiming to repeat his success. - ‘Quadradit’ (Killabunnies) is nominated for Best Mobile and for Most Original Game. Although
this title is yet to be released, it appears to be quite promising. - ‘Fate of Kai (Comic Solver)’ (Sunflower Game Studio), a compelling interactive comic story, is
by far and away the Argentinian revelation. Nominated for seven out of ten categories (Best Mobile, Best Casual Game, Most Original Game, Best Quality of Art, Best Indie Game, Best Story/Storytelling and Most Promising IP), it’s one of the most nominated games along with ‘Wanderlust’ from Poland and ‘Backdrop’ from Germany.
Other American countries will be represented as well: nominees include ‘Holly’s Home Design’, ‘Luna’ and ‘Rumble Rockers’ from Chile, ‘Coffeenauts’ and ‘Crystal League’ from Brazil, ‘Crystal Heroes’ from Uruguay and ‘A Rat’s Tale’ from Mexico. The winners will be revealed on March 18th. So until then, fingers crossed!
